WHEN AND WHERE?
June, 2006 as part of the Venn Music Festival
ABOUT PicNIC?
In the garden courtyard of the John Wesley New Room on Saturday 3rd June 2006, as part of the Venn Music Festival, Polar Produce hosted PicNIC - a culinary fayre celebrating international and independent food production from the Stokes Croft area of Bristol, with a post-apocalyptic twist.
PicNIC tunes were provided by DJ Placid. Guy Claxton played his city recordings of bird calls, while field researcher, Nick Gray gave a talk on birds and the relationship between their migration patterns and climate change. Handouts on scavenging for food in the city, cannibalism and survival techniques were provided by Heath Bunting.
