Maarten De Laat

Dr.Maarten de Laat is Polar Produce's technical consultant. As part of the Polar Produce team, he focuses on the systems architecture and programming languages necessary to run Polar Produce's projects.

Outside of Polar Produce, Maarten works as the Senior Research Fellow at the Department of Education, Exeter University and at the Centre for ICT in Education at IVLOS, University of Utrecht, The Netherlands. At both instituions he conducts research on e-learning in educational and organisational contexts, with particular emphasis on networked learning, knowledge management and communities of practice. Prior to working at Exeter University, Maarten worked at Southampton University and completed his PhD at the University of Utrecht.
