ABOUT
Created and performed in collaboration with Matt Olden and Nathan Hughes members of the Bristol based experimental audio-visual collective, I am the Mighty Jungulator (IMTMJ). The piece was specially made for the Machinsta Festival, Glasgow.

Dreams of If and Then is a triptych of screens. The middle screen of the triptych depicts a series of everyday scenes from the life of any human including walking up, washing, walk, eating. The outer screens project machine readings, drawn from artificial intelligence (AI) and artificial life (ALife) impressions of these everyday actions. The AI and ALife impressions were gathered from various coding projects, as well as archive footage of robotic and other AI projects.

In projecting the machine impressions of everyday actions, the complexity and richness of human behavior is accentuated as is the importance of interpretation in decoding human actions.
